Furnace Components

Many high temperature industrial furnaces use molybdenum (moly) components for such things as elements, element supports, power terminators, and process fixtures. Hot Isostatic Press (HIP) construction requires shells fabricated from molybdenum sheets. These are used to support the heating elements, and may also act as shielding. Likewise, flat heating elements made from moly sheet are used in vacuum and hydrogen furnaces. Heat shielding and other furnace components and structures help round out the use of moly in the furnace industry.

Molybdenum Fabricated Tube

Molybdenum Fabricated Tube

molybdenum fabricated tube
Molybdenumf abricated tube is one of the molybdenum products, it owns the same good features as the other molybdenum products.
The material we used for producing molybdenum fabricated tube is pure molybdenum, the purity is 99.95%, the density is 10.2g/cm3, with the high thermal conductivity, easy in processing. Molybdenum fabricated tube is widely used in electrical and electronic fields, is a good component of vacuum furnace, glass melting, electronic devices.

Ferro Molybdenum

Ferro Molybdenum

ferro molybdenum
Ferro molybdenum can be used in any melting process to add molybdenum to all types of iron and steel, and is supplied in a range of sizes for furnace or ladle addition. The recovery should be substantially 100 % if used correctly. For optimum recoveries with ladle additions, ferro molybdenum should be added after the molten metal has covered the bottom of the ladle and before it is three quarters full.

Molybdenum Copper

Molybdenum Copper

molybdenum copper
Molybdenum copper is a great alternative to tungsten copper for weight sensitive applications. The combination of high purity raw materials and high temperature hydrogen sintering using no additives yields the highest thermal conductivity available for this composite material system.
Advantages of molybdenum copper:
  • 40% lighter than comparable tungsten copper composite
  • Highest thermal conductivity available for this material system
  • Isotropic thermal and mechanical properties
  • Tailored thermal expansions
  • Requires no expensive tooling
  • High precision components machined to customer print
  • Plating and metallization
  • options available
  • Hermetic

Molybdenum-Tungsten

Molybdenum-Tungsten(Tungsten-Molybdenum)

molybdenum tungsten
Molybdenum (Mo) and tungsten (W) are two elements in the same column of the periodic table. They also behave similarly in nature. The average concentration in the Earth's crust is 1.5 ppm for both elements. Molybdenum is an essential nutrient for plants and animals. At large concentrations, Mo may be toxic. This is sometimes the case for leachates from alkaline ashes. Tungsten is an important strategic metal that is used in a variety of industrial applications. It is usually mined from scheelite, CaWO4, och wolframite, (Fe,Mn) WO4. Tungsten is released to the environment, e.g. through its use in winter tires and ammunition. On the whole, the environmental behaviour of tungsten is not well known.

Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Element

Molybdenum Disilicide Heating Element

molybdenum disilicide heating element
Molybdenum disilicide heating element is a kind of resistance heating element basically made of high pure molybdenum disilicide. In oxidizing atmosphere, on the surface of molybdenum disilicide heating element owing to the high temperature combustion a layer of compact quartz protective film is formed to prevent molybdenum disilicide from continuously oxidizing. In oxidizing atmosphere , its max temperature can reach 1800 °C and its applicable temperature is 500-1700 °C. It can be widely used in such applications as sintering and heat treatment on ceramics, magnet, glass, metallurgy, refractory, etc. We can offer different types of products—ED type, W type, U type and L type to customers according to their needs.

TZC (Molybdenum alloy)

TZC (Molybdenum alloy)

TZC alloy
Four main classes of commercial molybdenum alloy exist. The most common of the carbide-strengthened alloys is known as TZM. Other alloys in this class include TZC (1.2% titanium, 0.3% zirconium, 0.1% carbon), MHC (1.2% hafnium, 0.05% carbon), and ZHM (1.2% hafnium, 0.4% zirconium, 0.12% carbon).

TZM

TZM

TZM
TZM (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum) alloy (High Temperature Alloy) is a solid-solution hardened and particle-strengthened molybdenum based alloy. The development of a Mo-Ti solid solution and the fine dispersed Ti-carbides are responsible for the excellent strength properties at temperatures up to 1400°C. The recrystallization temperature of TZM (Titanium-Zirconium-Molybdenum) alloy is approximately 250°C higher than moly and it offers better weldability.

Molybdenum Alloy

Molybdenum Alloy

molybdenum alloy
Molybdenum alloy has excellent strength and mechanical stability at high temperatures (up to 1900°C). Their high ductility and toughness provide a greater tolerance for imperfections and brittle fracture than ceramics.

The unique properties of molybdenum alloy are utilized in many applications:
High temperature heating elements, radiation shields, extrusions, forging dies, etc;
Rotating X-ray anodes used in clinical diagnostics;
Glass melting furnace electrodes and components that are resistant to molten glass;
Heat sinks with thermal expansivity matching silicon for semiconductor chip mounts;
Sputtered layers, only Ångstroms (10-7 mm) thick, for gates and interconnects on integrated circuit chips;
Sprayed coatings on automotive piston rings and machine components to reduce friction and improve wear.

molybdenum discs
The molybdenum discs have similar thermal expansion to silicon. They are widely used as contact materials in silicon controlled rectifier diodes, transistors and thyristors, mounting material for power semiconductor devices and heat sink bases.

The diameter ranges of molybdenum discs are from 5 to 100 millimeters and the thickness range of molybdenum discs are from 0.1 to 4.0 millimeters.
